In partnership with GameTime, Dominica Recreation wants to help local schools keep students active during recess because we know that active kids perform better in school -- they perform better academically, have better attendance and have positive behavior. GameTime play systems are designed to maximize play value and keep students engaged on the playground. Now with additional playground funds, these GameTime play systems are more affordable than ever! Apply today for funds towards the purchase of an eligible play system or design your own Challenge Course. Please note that the amount of awarded funding is dependent on the cost of the play system.
Funding for Play Systems
Each of the eligible play systems is designed to help students stay active during play. And with up to $25,000 in funding towards a new active play system, you're closer than ever to your fundraising goals. Developed in partnership with SHAPE America and PlayCore, Play On! is a standards-based curriculum with 125 playground activities for students in grades Pre-K through 5th grade. We've designed each of the funding-eligible systems to go hand-in-hand with this exciting program, and we will include a copy for your teachers and coaches!
Funding for Challenge Course
Create a fun, friendly space where children of all ages will enjoy competing with one another or against the clock. Now you can design your own Challenge Course to fit your space and budget. With up to $25,000 in funding from GameTime, you'll be setting course records in record time! (Challenge Course Youth components are designed for ages 5 to 12, Pro components are designed for ages 13 and up.)
Active Schools Partner
Through our partnership with GameTime, Dominica Recreation is an Active Schools Partner. Active Schools is a national initiative dedicated to ensuring 60 minutes of physical activity a day is the norm in K-12 schools. Active Schools national collaborative makes it easier for schools to create an active school environment by streamlining physical education and physical activity resources, programs, grants and professional development.
National Demonstration Sites
When you combine one of our funding-eligible systems with the Play On! curriculum, your school qualifies to be a National Demonstration Site for youth physical activity. Learn how the National Demonstration Site program can enhance your school and bring recognition to your efforts.
Terms and Conditions
School customers must apply for funds at gametime.com/school-funding. Funds are awarded based on need and according to the list price of eligible play systems and/or Challenge Course components. Awarded funds can only be applied toward the purchase of an eligible play system or designed course. Amount of awarded funding is dependent on the cost of the play system and/or course components. Use Challenge Course Youth components when designing a course for ages 5 to 12, Pro components when designing a course for ages 13 and up. This offer cannot be combined with any other special offer, sale, or discount. Offer ends May 27, 2020, or when all funds have been awarded, whichever comes first.
